The Monster Walks

MUD love london based MA Menswear graduate Katie Eary and her unconventional flair for design. Eary graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2008 and has since then built a name for herself being one of the most eccentric fashion designers to come out of London. One of the first calls she got after her graduate show in 2008 was from the renowned photographer Mario Testino, who wanted to use pieces from her collection for an upcoming shoot for Vogue modelled by none other than Kate Moss herself.

Katie Eary's A/W 2012 collection screams influences from Frankenstien and Donnie Darko, mixed in with influences from the 1950's and the idea of the American dream. The collection consists of an eclectic mix of neon colours, clashing animal prints, latex, Frankenstein style neck bolts and Donnie Darko inspired headwear. One person went as far as describing the collection as 'a bad trip on acid'. The A/W 2011 lookbook was shot by photographer Holly Falconer who's raw and edgy style fits Eary's collection to a T.

Check out the preview of Katie Eary's Spring/Summer 2012 collection an exclusive film for Dazed Digital. The new collection is a collaboration with Fabien Kruszelnicki its all about arid heat and military undertones.
